Reliance Jio Effect: Airtel Launches 30GB 4G Prepaid Data Pack With 90-Day Validity

Airtel on Friday unveiled a "special 4G data pack that offers free data for 90 days". In the Delhi circle, the pack is priced at Rs. 1,495 for existing prepaid users, and Rs. 1,494 for new users on their first recharge.

Reliance owes Mumbai development authority Rs. 1,577 crore

Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), which recently launched its telecom service Jio, owes Rs. 1,576.90 crore in additional premium charges to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) as a lease-holder of two plots in the Bandra Kurla Complex, an RTI query by activist Anil Galgali has revealed.

Reliance Jio 4G Launched - How to Get SIM Card, Plans, Phones, MNP, Jio Apps, and More

Reliance Jio has opened its doors to everyone, with Jio's 4G SIM cards now available at retail outlets across India. After a prolonged trial where only select users had access to the Jio network, starting today, the services will be free to use for all until December 31.
Reliance Jio has unveiled a bunch of prepaid and postpaid plans that will kick in post the 'welcome offer', and the country's newest telcos has made voice calling and national roaming free for everyone. Customers will need pay only for data on this 4G-only network, with cost per GB a fraction of what other operators are charging at the moment.

Reliance Jio interconnect bill may hit Rs 2,400 crore in its first year

KOLKATA: Reliance Jio Infocomm's annual payout towards interconnect charges (IC) at 14 paise/minute could be as high as $360 million (Rs 2,400 crore approx) in its first year of commercial operation, say industry executives and analysts.

The Mukesh Ambani-owned company's estimated interconnect payout, they say, is based on a conservative assumption that the 4G entrant will have at least 30 million customers in its first year with an average monthly minutes of usage (MoU) of 400-600 band.
