Twitterati troll Kejriwal for his ‘Not notes, change PM’ tweet

The demonetisation debate has literally launched a verbal war between the Opposition and government. The allegations have been endless, sometimes bitter or sometimes in form of poetry.
Remember Mamata Banerjee’s poem crticising demonetisation, targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi? Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal too has been attacking the PM’s move and both have launched a campaign together against the policy.

Taking a dig at the prime minister, the Delhi chief minister on Monday tweeted, “Note nahi, PM badlo (Not notes, change PM)”. But it did not go down well with Modi’s supporters who trolled the AAP leader for his remark.

It is true that common people are facing hardship after Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes were banned on November 8, but Netizens have been supporting the move from Day 1. As the decision to abolish the higher currency notes was announced, Twitterati termed it as “surgical strike” on black money.

Though opposition leaders have fought against the move ardently, nothing impressed them much. Mamata Banerjee’s poem too did not get public nod and Kejriwal too was trolled on various occasion, Saturday was no exception.

Many users said, “Delhi CM ko badlo (Change the Delhi CM)”, one user even started a twitter poll! Many meme were circulated on the social media platform and even AAP MP from Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann too was dragged into the affair. While few said he would be “jobless”, someone took a jibe at him saying his job shall be to review films!

But the best troll to this tweet was done by Twitter itself, rather the Bing translation. The automatic translation of his tweet to English from Hindi read, “Note do not change the PM” – and people could not agree more.
